On September 1, 1966, a class was created to specialize in masonry. People's Partisans in Biłgoraj. The opportunity to learn in the construction profession started the formation of our school. The thriving city has resulted in an increased appeal of building a profession and a large number of students willing to do so, with the demand to create not just a classroom but a school. In this case, Biłgoraj poviat officials decided to create an institution with a construction profile. Initially, in September 1968, a branch of the Lublin Construction Association Construction School (located on Słowicza Street in Lublin) was established at the Basic Vocational School. At that time, the studies lasted 2 years, 6 days a week: 3 days of didactic lessons and 3 days of practical lessons at the construction sites run by Biłgorajskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane. In September 1971, the branch became independent and became Biłgorajskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane Basic Vocational School. At the same time it moved to a new facility in "Budowlanka" ul. 1st Polish Army (currently boarding school of the Regional Center for Vocational Education). The new building on the ground floor had four classrooms, a kitchen and a canteen, and a boarding school on the first floor. Theoretical subjects were initially taught by teachers at ZSZ, and later new teachers were recruited to teach general and professional subjects as well as practical vocational training.

The students were eager to learn the construction profession, and it soon became clear that the new facility could not accommodate young people who wanted to study at our school. Therefore, ul. The decision was made to build new facilities under the name of BiÅ‚gorajskie PrzedsiÄ™biorstwo Budowlane Training and Sports Center. Cegielnia Street. The new school and boarding school buildings were put into service on 19 March 1977. Our students have been very active in construction works and have become one of the main contractors of this investment. The next school facilities were transferred one after another, and the construction was completed in 1989 with the opening of the indoor swimming pool. In June 1985, the school was named after Józef Dechnik, a prominent activist in our city. School, masons, plasterers, carpenters, carpenters, mechanics, reinforced concrete building installers, construction installers, floor workers, The changing situation in our country at the beginning of the nineties enabled the teaching profile to be expanded in the 1990/1991 academic year and the establishment of two general secondary school classes. Since then, we have been constantly expanding the educational offer, trying to meet the needs of young people and train them in various profiles such as general secondary school, technical construction secondary school, basic vocational school and after basic vocational school.
